Lanthanein Resources (ASX: LNR) has recommenced reconnaissance roadside Air Core drilling in the Bordertown Block of EL6717 in South Australia.
The programme is targeting the same shallow Loxton Parilla Sands intersected in the first phase of the drilling which encountered encouraging XRF results of >1,000ppm combined Nd+Pr.
Results occur within the same formation that hosts REEs in neighbouring Australian Rare Earths Ltd Koppamurra Resource of 101mt @818 ppm TREO (Total Rare Earth Oxide) and their exciting Frances Prospect.
“We are very excited with the recommencement of the reconnaissance roadside drilling programme in the Bordertown Block of the Murraydium Project in the Southeast of South Australia,” Technical Director, Brian Thomas, said.
“Following on from the highly encouraging XRF results in the first phase of the roadside programme we are looking forward to getting the results from this next phase of the drilling. Previous work done in the region by AR3 has outlined an extensive mineralized system where shallow near surface exploration has the potential to delineate significant JORC Resources of sand hosted REEs.”
The Murraydium Project is located in the south‐eastern region of South Australia within EL 6717 which includes four tenement blocks with a total area of 872sq. km within the Murray Basin. The region is seeing continued activity in the exploration for ionic hosted REE minerals following on from the success of Australian Rare Earths at their wholly-owned Koppamurra Project, host to a total mineral resource of 101Mt @818 ppm TREO, plus other successes with Resource Base Ltd (ASX:RBX) announcing a maiden Mineral Inferred Resource Estimate of 21Mt @767 ppm TREO at their Mitre Hill Deposit in the Murray Basin in Victoria.
