Gladiator Resources Achieves Updated Uranium Grades of 7139ppm

Gladiator Resources Ltd (ASX: GLA) has completed the re-analysis of samples from the company’s Southwest Corner (SWC) target trench assay results. The samples, initially reported as ‘above detection’ limit of 4245ppm U3O8 on 27 December 2023, have returned final grades as high as 7139ppm U3O8.

The re-analysis confirms the potential for very high grades, with the highest grading samples being 7139 and 4442ppm U3O8. The vertical intervals include 1.95m with an average grade of 1776ppm U3O8 in Trench 1, and 1.40m with an average grade of 3170ppm U3O8 in Trench 2, among others.

The average grade of the exposed parts of the layers in the trenches range from 708 to 2563ppm U3O8, with the layers interpreted to be between 1m and over 6m thick. The uranium mineralization is hosted in coarse sandstone, like the Nyota deposit 50km to the north, which has a Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource Estimate of 124.6Mlbs U3O8.

The recently acquired radiometric data suggest the layers at the North and South Limb zones may have a combined surface strike extent of approximately 3km. The down-dip extent is unknown. The North and South Limb zones will be tested using core drilling in Q2 2024. There has been no drilling at these zones other than the shallow-hole (<15m) auger drilling in 2008 which gave excellent results.

The next step for Gladiator is to drill-test the layers which have an average grade of between 708 and 2563ppm U3O8 in the trenches. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to exploring and developing its uranium resources.
