Lithium Ionic is a Canadian mining company focused on advancing its hard rock lithium deposits towards production in the mining-friendly state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Its flagship projects, Itinga and Salinas, cover 14,182ha in the country’s “Lithium Valley”, a district that is quickly emerging as an important global producer of hard rock lithium. In June 2023, an initial mineral resource of 19Mt at 1.42% Li2O was published for the Bandeira and Outro Lado deposits. These deposits are located between 500 and 700m from CBL’s lithium mine that has been a producing lithium for 30 years, and Sigma Lithium’s large Barreiro deposit, forming part of the largest hard rock lithium deposits in the Americas. The company’s goal is to accelerate both deposits towards a production decision as quickly as possible. A preliminary economic assessment is already underway and expected to be complete in Q3 2023, followed shortly thereafter by a definitive feasibility study before year-end. Three analysts currently cover the company with target prices between C$5.00 and C$6.25.
