Osisko Metals (TSXV: OM) has reported strong results from its ongoing infill and expansion drilling programme at the Gaspé Copper project in Quebec. The latest round of drilling includes eight new holes with 25 mineralized intercepts that continue to confirm and expand the mineralized footprint of the project, particularly beyond the limits of the 2024 mineral resource estimate.
A standout result came from expansion hole 30-1090, which intersected 279m grading 0.49% copper and 3.35g/t silver, including 108m of 0.84% copper and 7.79g/t silver. This hole extended mineralization approximately 105m south of the current resource and to a vertical depth of 525m. Additional expansion and infill holes, including 30-1078, 1079, 1080, 1081, and 1084, delivered long mineralized intervals ranging from 256 to 520m with copper grades between 0.23% and 0.41%. These results confirm the continuity of mineralization and the potential to expand the current resource envelope.
The company has now mobilized nine drill rigs to accelerate both infill and step-out drilling. The ongoing program is focused on upgrading Inferred resources to the measured and indicated categories in preparation for a future mineral resource update. CEO Robert Wares stated that the results, especially from hole 30-1090, continue to highlight the large-scale potential of the mineralized system at Gaspé Copper.
