Assay TV catches up with Mark Brennan, executive chairman and founder of Ascendant Resources Inc. (TSX: ASND), a Toronto-based mining company focused on the exploration and development of its highly prospective Lagoa Salgada VMS project, located on the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt in Portugal.
Mark informs us that Ascendant’s initial exploration has focused on the Venda Nova Deposit, where a current infill drill campaign has defined a new high-grade copper zone within the project’s South Zone, with potential extension at depth. Recent assay results reported on 28 July 2022 included 12m at 3.3% copper (5.5% CUEQ).
Ascendant Resources expects to complete the infill programme by August 2022, and release an updated NI 43-101 Resource for Venda Nova by September 2022.
