Assay TV is joined by Aneel Waraich, executive vice president and director of Steppe Gold (TSX: STGO), Mongolia’s first premier precious metals company, which is projected to produce over 100Koz of gold from the current operational oxide zone of ATO Gold Mine in 2022 and 2023.
The company also completed a feasibility study into expansion of the ATO Gold Mine to approximately 100,000oz of gold per annum from the development of underlying fresh rock ores.
Aneel informs us that Steppe rounded up 2022 with uninterrupted gold production since the resumption of the irrigation in the spring. The company’s gold production was approximately 7,150oz in the fourth quarter for a total of 33,500oz for 2022.
Aneel says that they expect 2023 production to come in at a similar level to 2022 with some potential for upside.
