Tesoro Resources Limited (ASX:TSO) (OTCQB:TSORF ) has received “spectacular” assays including 7.00m @ 66.10g/t Au from drilling at the Ternera Gold Deposit located at the El Zorro Gold Project in Chile.
Tesoro received assays for seven diamond drill holes completed as part of extensional and infill drilling programmes at El Zorro.
Managing Director Zeff Reeves said results received for these seven holes are highly significant, having returned multiple wide high grade gold intercepts which remain open to the south and at depth
“Ternera and El Zorro get better with every hole. These seven holes are amongst the best results we have ever seen from Ternera, with hole ZDDH0288 returning a 486 g/m intercept and hole ZDDH0290 returning 184 g/m’s.
“Importantly these holes have delineated consistent, wide and strike extensive mineralisation which remains open to the south and at depth.
“We’re assessing these zones as we believe that additional drilling could significantly increase the size of the Ternera Mineral Resource and make a material difference to the scale of the project.
“The widths and grades encountered provide multiple options for the project as they could support exploitation by either open pit or underground mining in the future.”

Next Steps
Mr Reeves said these results have the potential to significantly impact the MRE and the possibility of a material expansion of the Ternera Gold Deposit.
Tesoro’s exploration continues, with district target generation work consisting of surface mapping and sampling. Results will be announced as they come to hand. The Company is currently awaiting assays for five diamond drill holes from Ternera.
