Silver Storm Mining Ltd. (TSXV: SVRS | OTCQB: SVRSF | FSE: SVR) has announced further drill results from its Phase 1 diamond drilling programme at the company’s 100% owned La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex, located in Durango Mexico.
Greg McKenzie, president, and CEO, commented, “We are pleased with the strong drill results from the San Marcos Mine, where we have intersected high-grade mineralization in both the South & North Zones approximately 100m below the last mined stopes. In particular, the South Zone appears to be getting wider at depth where hole SM-24-011 intersected 319g/t Ag.Eq over 11.8m compared to 2.4m within the last mined stope 100m higher.”
Key highlights include:
- In San Marcos South, hole SM-24-010 returned 504g/t Ag.Eq over 5.14m and 367g/t Ag.Eq over 2.63m within a broader interval of 249g/t Ag.Eq over 19.03m and 427g/t Ag.Eq over 2.13m
- SM-24-011 returned 569g/t Ag.Eq over 2.00m and 431g/t Ag.Eq over 1.87m within a broader interval of 319g/t Ag.Eq over 11.75m
- SM-24-014 returned 204g/t Ag.Eq over 1.00m, SM-24-012 returned 503g/t Ag.Eq over 0.49m and 141g/t Ag.Eq over 1.21m, and SM-24-008 returned 182g/t Ag.Eq over 0.76m
- In San Marcos North, hole SM-24-017 returned 405g/t Ag.Eq over 1.00m, SM-24-016 returned 191g/t Ag.Eq over 3.25m, SM-24-005 returned 178g/t Ag.Eq over 2.50m and 371g/t Ag.Eq over 1.00m, SM-24-004 returned 148g/t Ag.Eq over 0.72m, and SM-24-003 returned 163g/t Ag.Eq over 0.40m
- A new mineralized zone was discovered approximately 10m to the southwest of the San Marcos Zone with hole SM-24-004 returning 283g/t Ag.Eq over 0.55m, SM-24-005 returning 147g/t Ag.Eq over 3.50m
“We anticipate these results should have a positive impact on future mineral resources, both in terms of tonnage and grade. Follow up drilling will be performed in proximity to holes 010 and 011 allowing for the potential addition of indicated resources within this area of San Marcos.” Added McKenzie.
