Sarytogan Graphite Limited (ASX:SGA) has awarded the engineering contracts for their Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) to leading engineering firms Wood and WSP.
Sarytogan has been progressing data collection as well as support engineering studies since the publication of the PFS on 12 August 2024. This data, in conjunction with awarding these key contracts, provides a clear pathway for the company to complete the DFS by mid-2026, leading into construction in 2027.
Wood will be leading the processing and infrastructure work for Sarytogan. Wood Australia is the company’s largest team globally, with extensive experience in battery minerals, pyrometallurgy, and hydrometallurgy. The Australia team has delivered more than 420 studies over nearly 50 years in the industry. In Kazakhstan, Wood has been in operation for over 20 years, operating as a full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering and design firm, delivering conceptual engineering, cost estimation, feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and Owner’s engineering services.
WSP will be delivering an update on the mineral resource and ore reserve. WSP is a world leading professional service firm, working across engineering, advisory, and science-based expertise, operating across 50 countries globally.
