Revival Gold Inc. (TSXV: RVG, OTCQX: RVLGF) has shared encouraging outcomes from its metallurgical testing program in partnership with Dundee Sustainable Technologies (DST), a subsidiary of Dundee Corporation (TSX: DC.A). This program aimed to assess the effectiveness of DST’s Glasslock Process™ on high-grade samples from the Joss deposit at the Beartrack-Arnett Gold Project (“Beartrack-Arnett” or the “Project”) in Idaho, U.S.A.
Key Highlights
- Testing using the Glasslock Process™ on high-grade underground sulphide material at Beartrack-Arnett resulted in a 31% increase in concentrate gold grade and a remarkable 99% reduction in arsenic content, with minimal gold loss.
- The Glasslock Process™ has a proven track record globally and has been successfully implemented on an industrial scale at the Tsumeb smelter facility in Namibia.
- A 3,900-meter core drilling program is set to commence later this year to further explore and expand the high-grade underground potential at Beartrack-Arnett.
This collaboration follows Dundee Corporation’s acquisition of a strategic stake in Revival Gold and builds on earlier flotation testing results from a 4.6g/t gold composite from the Joss deposit, which produced a flotation concentrate grading 50g/t gold, 23% sulphide sulphur, and 13.5% arsenic. DST has developed a similar arsenopyrite-rich concentrate from Joss samples, achieving grades of 50.3g/t gold, 23.6% sulphide sulphur, and 13.7% arsenic. After applying the Glasslock Process™, the concentrate achieved a grade of 66.1g/t gold (a 31% increase), along with a 24% reduction in sulphide sulphur to 17.9% and a 99% reduction in arsenic to 0.19%. Notably, no measurable gold was lost during the Glasslock Process™. The primary byproduct is a stable, non-toxic arsenic-rich glass, as confirmed by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Method 1311 Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure.
Commenting on the news, Hugh Agro, President and CEO of Revival Gold noted, “DST’s Glasslock Process™ offers Revival Gold the opportunity to produce a direct-to-smelter saleable gold concentrate from a potential second phase underground sulphide operation following the planned open pit heap leach phase at Beartrack-Arnett. A 3,900-meter exploration drilling program will be initiated later this year as we continue to test and expand Beartrack-Arnett’s high-grade underground potential”
