Resource Mining Corporation Ltd (ASX: RMI) has provided an encouraging update on exploration progress at its flagship Koriyo and Iliwan prospects within the Kisa Project in Papua New Guinea. Recent fieldwork has confirmed the presence of outcropping mineralized intrusive rocks and skarn-style alteration, which supports the potential for a large-scale porphyry copper-gold system.
At the Koriyo prospect, soil sampling revealed multiple copper anomalies coinciding with magnetic highs and interpreted structural corridors. Rock chip samples have returned up to 3.8% Cu and 1.6g/t Au, further validating the area’s high prospectivity.
Similarly, at Iliwan, mapping and sampling activities have highlighted skarn-style alteration and anomalous copper-gold values, providing additional drill-ready targets.
Managing director Matthew Boyes commented, “These results continue to build our confidence in the Kisa Project as a potential Tier-1 porphyry copper-gold system. With strong support from the local community and a growing geological model, we are now preparing for the next phase of exploration, including geophysics and drill targeting.”
The company’s current exploration strategy focuses on delineating priority targets to guide upcoming drill campaigns and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
