Petratherm Limited (ASX: PTR) has reported that final assay results from its Phase 2 drilling program at the Rosewood Heavy Mineral (HM) Prospect have significantly expanded the zone of high-grade titanium-bearing mineralization.
Drill results from the remaining 63 air core holes confirm extensive shallow, high-grade HM mineralization.
Notable new intersections include:
- 25RW021 – 9m @ 15.1% HM from 10m, incl. 3m @ 26.4% HM from 12m
- 25RW023 – 12m @ 12.7% HM from 4m, incl. 7m @ 17.1% HM from 5m
- 25RW030 – 11m @ 16.4% HM from 6m, incl. 7m @ 23.8% HM from 6m, and incl. 1m @ 55.7% HM from 11m
- 25RW034 – 10m @ 14.0% HM from 7m, incl. 6m @ 21.1% HM from 8m
- 25RW037 – 7m @ 17.4% HM from 6m, incl. 3m @ 30.1 % HM from 9m
- 25RW052 – 17m @ 7.8% HM from 8m, incl. 6m @ 15.2% HM from 19m
The mineralized zone now spans over 20 km², remaining open to the north with recent drill holes ending in strong mineralization. Within the broader mineralized envelope, two high-grade, north-south trending strandline zones—Rosewood East and West—have also been delineated.
Peter Reid, CEO of Petratherm, commented on these results: “These latest results are among our best to date, pushing the high-grade zone 1.6 km further north. We now see two distinct, strongly mineralised zones that remain open. With extensional drilling starting this week and metallurgical studies underway, we’re entering an exciting phase of the project.”
Phase 3 drilling will begin this week to test northern extensions. Bulk metallurgical sampling has also commenced, with a 1-tonne sample to undergo wet processing and separation at IHC Mining in Brisbane.
Finally, assays from other nearby prospects (Duke, Nardoo, and Claypan) are pending and expected in the coming weeks.
