Osisko Metals Incorporated (TSX: OM | OTCQX: OMZNF | FSE: 0B51) has appointed Victoria Vargas to its board of directors, effective immediately. Ms Vargas brings more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry and North American capital markets, along with significant expertise in environmental, social, and governance practices.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons. Economics) from Lima University in Peru and an MBA in Finance from Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela. Ms Vargas is currently the chief financial officer of VMS Mining and serves on the board of Lithium Universe Canada, where she chairs the corporate government relations committee.
Her previous roles include vice president of investor relations at Minera Alamos Inc., and director positions at Silver Mountain Resources Inc., where she chaired the corporate governance and nominating committee and served on the audit committee.
Osisko Metals stated that the addition of Ms Vargas strengthens the board’s depth in capital markets, governance, and ESG oversight as the company continues advancing its project portfolio.
