Critical Metals Corp. (Nasdaq: CRML) has agreed to acquire a majority interest in 60° North Greenland ApS, a Greenland‑based construction, exploration, logistics, and project development company. The strategic move further strengthens Critical Metals’ operational footprint in southern Greenland, where it already controls the Tanbreez rare earth project — one of the largest rare earth deposits globally.
The acquisition brings additional exploration assets, on‑the‑ground capabilities, and local expertise into Critical Metals’ portfolio as the company advances its ambition to build a western‑aligned supply chain for critical minerals. As part of the transaction, 60° North Greenland will enter into a collaboration agreement with Tanbreez to support development of local infrastructure and operational capacity around the project.
Tony Sage, chairman and CEO of Critical Metals Corp., commented, “This acquisition represents significant progress in our mission to build a robust, western‑aligned supply chain for critical minerals. By expanding our presence in Greenland through this strategic acquisition, we are strengthening our position as a reliable supplier of materials essential for defence applications, the clean energy transition, and next‑generation technologies serving the United States, Europe, and their western world partners.”
Malik Rasmussen, CEO of 60° North Greenland ApS, added, “The whole team at 60° North Greenland welcomes the opportunity to expand our footprint and capabilities via strategic engagement with Critical Metals. Critical Metals is committed to investing locally, upgrading technologies in various sectors, and sharing global best practices. By expanding our horizons, we are consolidating our professional capacity as a key link in building a better Greenland and a better world.”
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.
