Century Lithium Corp. (TSXV: LCE, OTCQX: CYDVF, FRA: C1Z) has appointed Dr. Cormac O’Laoire as strategic advisor to support the company’s advancement of the Angel Island Project and its downstream strategy.
Dr. O’Laoire is a recognised expert in the lithium‑ion battery ecosystem, with more than 20 years of experience spanning lithium mining, chemical refining, and battery technology. He has worked with governments, global battery manufacturers, and major materials suppliers on scaling production of critical battery minerals.
Bill Willoughby, president and CEO of Century Lithium, commented, “Cormac brings extensive experience across the lithium‑ion battery ecosystem and a practical understanding of how lithium projects integrate into the global battery supply chain. Dr. O’Laoire is currently managing director of Electrios Energy, advising on technical and commercial aspects of lithium supply chains, including the production of high‑purity, battery‑grade lithium carbonate. His background also includes research with the US Department of Energy and expertise in precursor cathode active materials (pCAM) and cathode active materials (CAM) used in electric vehicle batteries.
Based in Hong Kong for more than a decade, he brings a global perspective on battery supply chain development, competitive dynamics, and the technological requirements for establishing a resilient lithium processing and battery materials industry in the United States.
