Banyan Gold Corp. (TSXV: BYN | OTCQB: BYAGF) has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Patrick Langlois as vice president of strategy and corporate development, effective 30 March 2026. Langlois brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate development, capital markets and M&A across the mining sector.
Prior to joining Banyan, Langlois served as chief financial officer and vice president of corporate development at Probe Gold Inc. from 2015 to 2026. His background also includes senior investment banking roles and board positions with publicly traded companies. Over his career, he has executed more than $1.3 billion in mining and resource transactions, including several significant deals in the gold sector — among them the $780 million sale of Probe Gold to Fresnillo plc earlier this year, Goldcorp’s acquisition of Probe Mines in 2015, and Wesdome’s 2025 acquisition of Angus Gold.
Tara Christie, president and CEO of Banyan Gold, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Patrick to the Banyan Gold team. His appointment further strengthens our management team, and his extensive strategic experience will be instrumental as we advance the AurMac Project and continue building Banyan into a leading Canadian gold development company. With Patrick’s expertise, Banyan is well positioned to evaluate and execute opportunities that enhance shareholder value.”
Langlois said the scale and potential of AurMac were key factors in his decision to join Banyan:
“Banyan represents a compelling opportunity with one of Canada’s largest undeveloped gold projects at AurMac. The company has significant exploration upside and growth potential, with a PEA expected in the second half of 2026. The strength and clarity of Tara’s leadership, combined with the quality of the asset, were key factors in my decision to join the team.”
In his new role, Langlois will work closely with Christie to lead corporate strategy and development initiatives as Banyan advances AurMac through upcoming technical and economic milestones.
