Goliath Resources Ltd. (TSXV: GOT) has launched its most extensive drill campaign to date, mobilizing nine rigs for a 40,000m programme at the Surebet high-grade gold discovery on its 100%-owned Golddigger Property in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle.
This large-scale initiative builds on the success of the 2024 season, which significantly improved the geological understanding of the Surebet system. The mineralized zones remain open in all directions, offering substantial upside potential.
The 2025 programme targets several key objectives:
- Test for the potential causative “Motherlode” gold-bearing intrusion
- Drill 13 previously untested Eocene intrusive granitoid dykes identified at surface
- Conduct infill drilling to increase pierce point density in known high-grade veins, particularly at the intersection of the Bonanza and Surebet Zones
- Expand the footprint of mineralized veins both laterally and at depth
The campaign will also include relogging of 50 historical drill holes from 2021 to 2024 that intersected intrusive dykes. Previous relogging of just 13 holes from this batch revealed visible gold in six, with assays reaching up to 12.03g/t AuEq over 10m.
Goliath’s 2024 drill programme returned standout results, including 34.52g/t AuEq over 39.00m (with sub-intervals of 132.93g/t AuEq over 10.00m and 166.04g/t AuEq over 8.00m) in hole GD-24-260 at the Bonanza Zone.
Additionally, four new mineralized shear zones were identified, bringing the total to 12 stacked mineralized structures extending over 1.2km vertically.
The broader Surebet mineralization footprint now covers 1.8 km². A study by the Colorado School of Mines indicates a Reduced Intrusion Related Gold system, highlighting significant potential for further discoveries.
To date, Goliath has drilled over 92,000m across the Golddigger property. Metallurgical testing has confirmed strong gold recoveries of 92.2% through gravity and flotation, with nearly 49% recovered through gravity alone and no deleterious elements such as mercury or arsenic detected.
