Goliath Resources (TSXV: GOT) has further expanded the footprint of its high-grade Surebet gold discovery at the Golddigger Property in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, with ongoing 2026 drilling increasing the size of both the Golden Gate and Bonanza zones.
Recent step-out drilling extended the Golden Gate Zone by an additional 160m to the northeast, bringing total expansion during the 2026 programme to 480m on the northeastern side and 540m on the southwestern side of the system. As a result, the Golden Gate mineralised footprint has increased to 1.17km², representing a 38% expansion from the 0.85km² defined before the current drilling season.
The company reported that mineralisation in the newly expanded northeastern portion of Golden Gate consists of quartz-sulphide veins and veinlets hosted within andesitic volcanic rocks, containing visible gold, sphalerite, galena, pyrrhotite, and minor pyrite and chalcopyrite. One highlighted interval returned up to 10.90g/t AuEq over 6.00m in hole GD-26-424.
Golden Gate now has a strike extent of 1.6km east-west and 1.5km north-south. Based on 2025 drilling, the zone hosts 18 mineralised lodes up to 14m thick, with a combined thickness of up to 49m. Previous drilling returned intercepts of up to 34.52g/t AuEq over 39.00m in hole GD-24-260.
Drilling has also continued to grow the Bonanza Zone, which expanded by a further 160m to the northeast in addition to the previously reported 750m extension to the southwest. The cumulative 2026 expansion now stands at 910m, increasing the Bonanza footprint to 1.51km² from 1.27km², a 19% increase.
The expanded Bonanza Zone now extends over an area measuring approximately 1.8km by 1.8km. Historical drilling has outlined five mineralised lodes up to 19m thick, with combined thicknesses reaching 27m. The best reported intercept to date remains 8.35g/t AuEq over 23.00m from hole GD-24-280.
Goliath noted that drill core from both the northeastern and southwestern extensions of Bonanza continues to intersect broad intervals of quartz-sulphide mineralisation containing visible gold, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite. Assays from several newly completed holes remain pending.
With the latest expansions, the overall Surebet system footprint has grown to 2.01km², a 12% increase from the 1.8km² defined prior to the 2026 drilling season.
The company also reported that visible gold has been identified in 34 of the 59 holes completed so far this year. All 59 holes have intersected quartz-sulphide mineralisation, reinforcing the continuity of the system, which remains open laterally and at depth.
Goliath has completed 34,990m of drilling across 59 holes to date as part of its fully funded 50,000m 2026 programme. Seven drill rigs are currently operating on site, with drilling focused on extending the Bonanza, Golden Gate, and Surebet zones while further defining the scale of the discovery.
The company is also utilizing directional drilling from selected “mother” holes to improve targeting efficiency, reduce drilling costs, and test multiple stacked lodes from a single drill platform.
