Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE: GCC; OTC: GCCFF; FSE: 3TZ) has reported a standout near-surface drill intersection from the Halo Zone at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, located near Hixon, British Columbia, south of Prince George.
The company’s highlight result came from drill hole QGQ25-27, which returned 0.89 g/t gold over 70.65 metres starting at 14.20 metres downhole. Within the broader interval, Golden Cariboo reported higher-grade sections including 8.20 metres at 3.25 g/t gold and 5.20 metres at 3.86 g/t gold (with silver credits also reported).
Golden Cariboo also released results from hole QGQ25-26, drilled between the company’s Main Zone and Halo Zone targets. The hole delivered shorter gold-bearing intervals, though the company noted that one interval had low core recovery, limiting the reliability of that specific section for interpretation.
Management said the latest intercept supports the developing view that the Halo Zone hosts a sizeable, continuous mineralized system, with near-surface widths that could be meaningful as the database grows. Golden Cariboo added that QGQ25-27 was terminated early due to technical issues, and that follow-up drilling continues, including QGQ25-28, which is currently testing the northwest extension of the Halo Zone.
The company emphasized standard sampling and quality-control procedures (including blanks, standards and duplicates) and said it continues to build the dataset required to support its planned mineral resource estimate for the project.
