Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE: GCC) has commenced a self-potential (SP) geophysical survey at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, located near Hixon, British Columbia. The survey aims to delineate near-surface lithological contacts, particularly between argillite and greenstone units, and to identify potential fault offsets adjacent to the Halo and Main zones.
The SP method, known for detecting subtle electrical potential differences in the ground, has been effectively utilized by Golden Cariboo’s team in past projects, including the Bonanza Ledge Mine. The company plans to integrate preliminary survey results into its ongoing drilling and trenching campaigns to refine its geological model and prioritize target areas.
Recent drilling at the Halo zone has confirmed the company’s geological model, revealing a mineralized zone measuring approximately 470m by 290m by 320m, which remains open along strike and at depth.
