Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd (CSE: GCC) has launched an extensive field campaign at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, situated about 4km northeast of Hixon, British Columbia. Led by QP Jean Pautler, the programme includes geological mapping, prospecting, soil sampling, self-potential geophysics, and structural surveys.
The focus lies primarily on the Halo and Main zones, historic vein corridors measuring between 1.2–1.7km long, along with two newly defined targets, “Km Uno” and “Sunset.” Both emerged from a combination of soil geochemistry and geophysical resistivity findings. The initiative also contemplates extending the soil survey grid and exploring LiDAR and airborne geophysical options to substantiate prospective zones.
To tighten drill targeting, Golden Cariboo plans around 15 step-out holes following up on the Halo zone’s argillite–greenstone corridor. These efforts mark a crucial preparatory phase ahead of the upcoming drill programme.
This fieldwork sharpens precision on high-grade structures and provides early insight ahead of drilling, enhancing understanding of drill targeting for what may be a critical growth catalyst.
