Gateway Mining Ltd. (ASX: GML) has revealed new, highly prospective exploration targets at its recently acquired Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia. Fresh gravity and aeromagnetic surveys have identified approximately 90km of previously unrecognized shear zones, secondary splay shears off the major 75km Celia Shear Zone, which remain virtually unexplored despite the region’s rich mining history.
These newly mapped structural features offer a ripe opportunity for discovery across historically overlooked ground. Initial follow-up activities are already underway, including rock chip, soil, and lag sampling, as well as detailed mapping. More advanced exploration, such as spectral and multi-element analysis of historical drill samples, gravity inversion modelling, and a 3D induced polarization (IP) survey at the Dusk ‘til Dawn target, is in progress.
Gateway plans to initiate an aircore drill programme in October, followed by targeted diamond drilling at Dusk ‘til Dawn in November, aiming to rapidly advance these new targets. With approximately A$12.1M in cash and liquid assets at the end of June, the company is well-funded to execute its 2025–2026 exploration plans.
For investors, this represents vast exploration upside across 90km of untested shear zones, offering high discovery potential. The company is moving swiftly from geophysics to drilling, supported by a strong financial position to advance fieldwork in a premier gold belt.
