Lion Rock Resources Updates on Ongoing Work at Volney Project in South Dakota

Lion Rock Resources (TSXV: ROAR) has issued an update on ongoing work at the Volney Project in South Dakota’s Black Hills, where the company is advancing its first modern drill programme across a multi‑commodity system prospective for gold, lithium, and tin.

Volney is located in a mining‑friendly jurisdiction with a long history of production across multiple commodities. Historic sampling across the property has documented high‑grade occurrences of gold, lithium, and tin, although modern exploration prior to Lion Rock’s involvement had been limited. The project benefits from private land ownership, year‑round access, and its proximity to both producing and past‑producing operations in the district.

Lion Rock has now progressed its inaugural drill programme, targeting interpreted gold‑bearing structures and lithium‑bearing pegmatites around the Giant Volney, Rough & Ready, and Rusty mine areas. Drilling to date has intersected sulphide‑bearing shear zones with quartz veining and alteration consistent with surface mapping, alongside multiple spodumene‑bearing pegmatites in holes targeting lithium. This campaign represents the first systematic drill testing of the Volney trend using modern techniques and provides important geological context ahead of pending laboratory results.

Core logging and sampling are currently underway, with samples submitted to SGS in Denver for analysis. Assay results remain pending and will be released once available. The company expects the forthcoming results to inform next steps as it continues to advance and refine its geological understanding of the Volney Project.
