Lion Rock Resources Expands Critical Minerals Strike at Volney

Lion Rock Resources Inc. (TSXV: ROAR | OTCQB: LRRIF | FSE: KGB) has reported final results from its 15‑hole Phase One drill program at the Volney Project in South Dakota, confirming a 100% drill hit rate and expanding the critical minerals strike to 300m long, up to 100m wide and 150m deep.

The drilling confirmed a large, near‑surface lithium‑tin‑tantalum system hosted within spodumene‑bearing LCT pegmatites, with mineralisation beginning at surface and remaining open in all directions. Importantly, the strike has been established by drilling only one of several surface‑exposed pegmatite targets on the property.

High‑grade results include:

  • 2.3% Li₂O over 5.7m within broader lithium intervals
  • Up to 788ppm Ta₂O₅ over 5.89m
  • Commercial‑grade tin including 0.3% Sn over 3.0m

The geometry of the pegmatites suggests potential for low‑cost open‑pit extraction, supported by existing infrastructure such as grid power, all‑season road access and rail proximity. Lion Rock noted that all three commodities—lithium, tin and tantalum—are listed as critical minerals in the United States, enhancing the strategic relevance of the project.

R. Dale Ginn, president and CEO of Lion Rock Resources, commented, “Our Phase One drill program at Volney has delivered an outstanding outcome, confirming a large, strongly mineralised lithium‑tin‑tantalum system with mineralisation starting at surface and remaining open in all directions. Importantly, these results were achieved by drilling just one of several exposed pegmatite targets on the property. We are now advancing plans for a follow‑up program that will include aggressive step‑outs and testing of additional pegmatites across the project.”

Planning for a Phase Two drill program is now underway as Lion Rock advances Volney toward its next stage of exploration.
