Lion Rock Expands Volney Mineralisation Ahead of Phase 2 Drilling

Mapping and sampling identified visible tin and tantalum mineralisation extending up to 300 metres beyond previously reported mineralisation, providing new targets for the company’s upcoming Phase 2 drill programme.

The exploration campaign covered the broader Volney property beyond the area tested during Phase 1 drilling and included the collection of more than 100 surface samples, with assays currently pending.

Among the highlights, Lion Rock identified coarse tantalite crystals of up to 10 centimetres at the Volney Lower Pit, while visible cassiterite mineralisation was observed at the Rough and Ready occurrence. The company believes the new mapping has improved its understanding of the different pegmatites hosting lithium, tin and tantalum mineralisation, allowing for more targeted drilling in the next phase of exploration.

The new geological interpretation is being integrated with Phase 1 drilling results to refine the company’s 3D model and prioritise future drill targets.

We are now planning an aggressive Phase 2 drill program while advancing metallurgical and processing studies, and progressing key permitting initiatives, including the State Mine License.”

Assay results from the surface programme are expected to help finalise Phase 2 drill targeting, with additional exploration planned both within and beyond the existing drill footprint.
