Lahontan Gold Drills 37m of 3.11 g/t AuEq from Surface at West Santa Fe

Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSXV: LG | OTCQB: LGCXF | FSE: Y2F) has released the final assay results from its 2025 maiden drilling programme at the West Santa Fe project, located 13km from the company’s flagship Santa Fe Mine in Nevada’s Walker Lane. The latest reverse‑circulation hole, WSF25‑04R, returned one of the strongest intervals yet from the South Zone.

WSF25‑04R intersected 36.6m grading 3.11 g/t AuEq from surface, including a high‑grade interval of 10.7m at 5.75 g/t AuEq from 1.5m. A second high‑grade zone was also encountered lower in the hole, returning 12.2m at 3.67 g/t AuEq from 22.9m. Individual assays reached up to 12.04 g/t AuEq, reflecting strong gold and silver grades consistent with the fault‑controlled structures mapped across the area.

Lahontan said the geometry and tenor of the mineralisation correlate closely with historic drilling and underground workings, further strengthening confidence in the existing dataset. Combined with results from the broader programme, the company now defines a near‑surface oxide gold and silver system measuring roughly 500 by 350m, with true thicknesses ranging from 35m to more than 60m. With mineralisation beginning at surface, the project shows clear potential for low‑cost, open‑pit and heap‑leach development.

Kimberly Ann, executive chair, president, CEO, and founder of Lahontan Gold, commented, “The robust assay results from WSF25‑04R confirm the high‑grade core of the South Zone as defined by historic drilling and underground mine workings. We are continuing to model the West Santa Fe system to better understand the geology and geometry of gold and silver mineralisation. Previous field work confirms that the hydrothermal system extends at least 1,000 metres east of the main zone, and these areas, together with down‑dip extensions, will be key targets in our Spring drilling campaign. West Santa Fe continues to be an exciting new exploration target with excellent potential to add shallow, oxide gold and silver ounces to our mineral resource ledger.”

The company added that mineralisation is hosted within limestone of the Triassic Pamlico Formation, where the contrast between carbonate rocks and adjacent volcanic units strongly influences fluid pathways. High‑grade intervals commonly feature goethite, hematite, and silver halides, with quartz and calcite veining marking the main alteration zones.

Brian Maher, vice president of exploration and founder of Lahontan, said the maiden programme has been “very successful,” with geology, mineralogy, and historical metallurgical work providing a strong foundation for future exploration. The next phase will test eastern step‑outs and down‑dip targets where folding may repeat the mineralised system.

Additional drilling is planned for Spring as Lahontan continues to evaluate West Santa Fe’s potential to supplement future production at the nearby Santa Fe Mine.
