Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE: GCC) has commenced field activities for its 2026 exploration programme at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in British Columbia.
The programme aims to build on previous technical successes and includes a 7,500m surface diamond drilling campaign targeting priority zones identified through geological mapping, sampling, and structural interpretation. Crews have mobilised to the property, opened road access, and are preparing water and pump systems to support drilling operations.
Initial drilling will continue at hole QGQ25-28, currently at 354.19m depth, located north of the Halo zone. This hole is positioned about 200m north of QGQ24-20, which returned significant gold and silver grades in 2025, including 137.17m at 1.55g/t gold and 16.05g/t silver, with higher-grade intervals such as 4.29m at 16.43g/t gold and 9.09g/t silver.
The company also plans to transition from NQ to HQ-sized core to improve recovery and geological detail. Additional activities will include over 1km of trenching, mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, and geophysical studies.
Frank Callaghan, president and CEO of Golden Cariboo, commented, “With road access now opened and drilling set to advance north of the Halo zone from QGQ25-28, we are well positioned for continued success. The planned 7,500m drill programme, along with trenching and other geological studies, represents our most comprehensive exploration efforts to date.”
