Banyan Gold Commences Greenfields Drilling at Nitra Project

Banyan Gold Corp. (TSXV: BYN | OTCQB: BYAGF) has commenced a greenfields diamond drilling program at its Nitra Project in Yukon, targeting new discoveries across its district‑scale land package.

The 2026 program includes two drill rigs and an initial allocation of more than 7,500 metres of drilling, focused on testing priority targets identified through geophysical surveys, soil sampling and regional exploration work. The program is designed to expand Banyan’s exploration pipeline by identifying potential satellite deposits around its flagship AurMac project.

Location map of Banyan Gold’s AurMac and Nitra projects, highlighting priority exploration targets across the district.

Banyan has identified 10 high‑priority targets across the Nitra and broader AurMac area, with exploration focused on Reduced Intrusion‑Related Gold Systems (RIRGs), similar to those hosting major deposits in the Tombstone Gold Belt. More than 95% of the combined AurMac–Nitra land package remains untested by drilling, highlighting significant discovery potential.

The Nitra Project is located within a prolific gold district that hosts several major deposits, with targets defined through a combination of geophysical data, geochemical anomalies and historical exploration indicators.

Duncan Mackay, vice president of exploration at Banyan Gold, commented, “The 2026 drilling program is focused on testing a series of high‑priority targets identified across Nitra and the broader AurMac property. These targets display key characteristics of Reduced Intrusion‑Related Gold Systems and provide strong potential for new discoveries.”

Tara Christie, president and CEO of Banyan Gold, commented, “Greenfields exploration represents an important opportunity to expand our pipeline beyond the existing resource at AurMac. With a fully funded program and a largely untested land position, Nitra offers significant upside for additional discoveries.”

At the same time, drilling continues at AurMac, with more than 28,000 metres completed during the 2026 season to date, alongside ongoing metallurgical, geotechnical and environmental studies supporting a planned Preliminary Economic Assessment later in the year.

Banyan continues to advance both resource growth and exploration discovery in parallel, positioning its Yukon portfolio for continued expansion.
