Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSXV: LG) has announced initial results from its 2025 Phase Two drilling programme at the flagship Santa Fe Mine Project in Nevada’s Walker Lane district.
The company received assays for six reverse-circulation (RC) holes totalling 994m. Highlights include:
- York zone: 114.3m (76.2–190.5m) grading 0.33g/t Au Eq in hole YOR25-004R, including 18.3m (172.2–190.5m) at 0.90g/t Au Eq. This shallow, thick intercept expands the York gold zone footprint north of the current resource pit shell, leaving mineralisation open and unconstrained by modern drilling.
- Slab zone: 22.9m (19.8–42.7m) grading 0.42g/t Au Eq in hole CAL25-009R, and 29.0m (97.5–126.5m) at 0.26g/t Au Eq in hole CAL25-010R. These oxide gold intercepts occur below and adjacent to the current pit shell, potentially deepening the Slab conceptual pit and adding resources in the upcoming mineral resource estimate (MRE) update.
Kimberly Ann, executive chair, president, and CEO of Lahontan Gold commented, “The drill results at York reinforce our interpretation that the deposit continues north of the previously defined MRE and provide an excellent opportunity to expand gold resources. At Slab, the deeper extensions to known shallow oxide mineralisation were very successful. These results will be incorporated into an updated MRE for the entire Santa Fe Mine project, expected in the coming months.”
Additional results from seven holes at Santa Fe and six holes at West Santa Fe are expected in the coming weeks.
