Century Lithium Corp (TSXV: LCE; OTCQX: CYDVF) has announced encouraging metallurgical results from ongoing testwork on primary lithium leach solutions from its 100%-owned Angel Island Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. The programme is focused on recovering rare earths and other critical elements from the same solutions that already host lithium, opening the potential for an additional value stream alongside the core battery-metal production.
The company reports that rare earth elements can be recovered at high rates from the leach solutions generated in previous work on Angel Island mineralisation. While detailed recoveries by element were not disclosed in the public summary, Century Lithium highlights that the flowsheet being refined for lithium extraction can be adapted to co-recover other critical metals, potentially enhancing project economics and strategic relevance for North American supply chains.
Management emphasises that the work supports Century Lithium’s strategy of positioning Angel Island not only as a source of lithium chemicals, but as a broader critical-minerals hub aligned with US policy priorities around domestic supply of rare earths and related elements. The latest suite of tests will feed into the next phase of engineering and economic studies as the company refines the project design.
