Barton Gold (ASX:BGD) has confirmed the completion of the expanded RC drilling campaign at the Tolmer high grade silver discovery. Located at the company’s South Australian Tarcoola Gold Project, drilling at the discovery covered a total of 2,882m across 21 holes to an average depth of 137m.
Tomer was identified by Barton Gold as a high grade gold discovery in August 2024, and a new silver zone was subsequently identified around 500m west of this. The company began a 2500m RC drilling campaign in May 2025, designed to infill and extend across both the western silver zone and eastern gold zone. Based on geological reconnaissance and early drilling observations, the company decided to expand the silver zone drilling programme in order to gather more data.
Samples will be dispatched shortly for expedited laboratory analysis, with the first results expected towards the end of July. Barton is already planning for follow up programmes, including diamond drilling for structural orientation and further extensional RC drilling.
