Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE) has completed a diamond drilling programme at the Sulista West Deposit, confirming an ultra-high grade “Monte Alto” style REE-Nb-Sc-Ta-U deposit. These results returned some of the highest uranium and tantalum grades since exploration began at the project in 2021. Results include up to 8,211ppm uranium oxide and up to 2,803ppm tantalum oxide. Additional results include high-grade assays of up to 27,740ppm niobium oxide and 378ppm scandium oxide.
At Sulista East, a 3,000m diamond core drilling programme is now underway. Previous drilling at the site intersected thick zones of shallow, high-grade monazite sand mineralization and the area is highly prospective for REE-Nb-Sc-Ta-U source rock.
Further, at Sulista North, new ultra-high grade boulder samples have been discovered, on a mineralized parallel corridor, less than 1.5km to the northwest of Sulista West.
Brazilian Rare Earths’ CEO and Managing Director, Bernardo da Veiga, commented: “Monte Alto proved that our exploration pathfinder model could uncover world-class, multi-critical mineral rareearth systems. Sulista demonstrates this model’s repeatability across our extensive 180 km province. Our latest exploration results significantly reinforce our confidence that the Rocha da Rocha Province has the potential to host numerous Monte Alto-style ultra-high-grade rare earth deposits with major implications for strategic supply of heavy rare earths, niobium, tantalum, scandium, and uranium.”
