Asian Battery Metals Recommences Drilling at Oval Cu-Ni-PGE Project

Asian Battery Metals PLC (ASX: AZ9) has announced significant progress at the Oval Cu-Ni-PGE discovery within the Yambat Project in Mongolia.

The latest downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey identified 17 Priority 1 conductive plates with high conductance—up to 29,000 siemens—extending across multiple drill holes. These plates offer insight into the scale and orientation of the deposit, particularly around the massive sulphide intersection at drill hole OVD021.

The density and proximity of these high-conductivity plates support the potential for continued high-grade mineralization.

Additionally, the Phase 2 diamond drilling programme has commenced, targeting up to 1,200m across 4-8 holes to further define and extend the mineralization. This phase will focus on understanding the deposit’s size, orientation, and deeper high-grade zones.

The announcement marks another milestone for ABM, reflecting its commitment to responsible mineral exploration and resource development in Mongolia. With these findings, the company remains focused on building a sustainable supply of critical minerals for the region’s clean energy future.
