Asian Battery Metals Confirms Massive Sulphide Mineralization at Yambat

Asian Battery Metals PLC (ASX: AZ9) has announced that the phase one diamond drilling and exploration programme totaling 2896.85m and related field work at the Yambat Project (Oval Ni-Cu and Copper Ridge Cu-Au) in Mongolia has been successfully completed.

Multiple mineralized intervals with various intensity of mineralization were intersected during the drilling programme including:

  • OVD021 encountered a massive sulphide interval of 8.8m from 107.2m within a broader net textured and disseminated sulphide zone along the longitude of the Oval prospect
  • OVD09 extended the mineralization a further 15m in depth
  • OVD012 extended the mineralization by 50m to the south east
  • OVD017-019 confirmed shallow mineralization at North Oval which is open at depth

Additionally, the strike length of drill tested mineralization at Oval now reaches over 800m. A high resolution magnetics study has been completed and a downhole electro-magnetic survey study is ongoing at the Oval prospect.
