Aftermath Silver (TSXV: AAG) has provided an update on ongoing work at its Berenguela silver-copper-manganese project in southern Peru and the Challacollo silver-gold project in northern Chile, with drilling programmes advancing at both assets and the Berenguela prefeasibility study (PFS) remaining on track for completion in early 2027.
At Berenguela, the company has completed key workstreams required for the PFS, including infill drilling, metallurgical testwork, and trade-off studies covering processing options, infrastructure, reagent supply, and plant location. Geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling is also underway to support mine design and future permitting activities.
Ralph Rushton, president and CEO of Aftermath Silver, commented: Ralph Rushton, President and CEO, commented, “With key exploration and geotechnical drilling underway we expect a busy next rew months at Aftermath. I am please to report that our Prefeasability Report for the Berenguela project is on schedule and on budget. At Berenguela, we are currently doing follow up drilling on the previous high-grade copper intersections in the eastern zone and expect to be drilling the prospective South-West Skarn Intrusive target shortly. We are also completing a 9-hole geotechnical drilling program designed to feed into the Prefeasability Study which is due Q1, 2027. At the Challacollo Silver Property in Chile we are drilling to test depth and lateral extensions to the main Lolon vein and to verify the potential of the Lucy vein to the west. We will be extending the drill program at Challacollo.”
Since launching the study in February 2026, the company has completed a gap analysis covering geological, engineering, metallurgical, geotechnical, and environmental requirements needed to advance the project. Management noted that the study remains on budget and is scheduled for publication in Q1 2027.
Exploration drilling continues at Berenguela, where Aftermath has completed 4,002m as part of its third diamond drilling campaign. Current objectives include testing high-grade copper mineralization in the eastern and south-eastern parts of the deposit, upgrading portions of the resource from indicated to measured categories, extending mineralization along the northern resource boundary, and collecting bulk samples for metallurgical testing.
A second drill rig has enabled the company to begin follow-up drilling at the Copper East target, where previous drilling returned 156m grading 1.12% copper, 290g/t silver, and 7.3% manganese, alongside a high-grade silver intercept of 1.95m at 14,252g/t silver.
The company also plans to begin drilling the South-West Intrusive target, located approximately 4km from Berenguela, once one of the drill rigs becomes available following completion of geotechnical work.
At the Challacollo silver-gold project in Chile, Aftermath has completed five diamond drill holes for a total of 630m. Four holes targeted the Lolon vein, while one hole tested the Lucy vein.
The drilling programme was originally designed to verify and extend known mineralization at the Lolon vein and assess the potential of the Lucy vein. Following initial progress, the company has increased the programme to 2,000m, with the drill rig now moving back to the southern extension of Lolon.
Challacollo is a low-sulphidation epithermal silver-gold system located in Chile’s Region I, with access to existing mining infrastructure, power transmission lines, and water rights.
