Company Overview
Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE, Lake) is a lithium exploration/development company focused on 3 lithium brine projects and 1 hard rock project in Argentina, all owned 100%. The leases are in a prime location among the lithium sector’s largest players. Lake holds one of the largest lithium tenement packages in Argentina (~200,000Ha) secured in 2016 as an early mover in Argentina.
The Kachi project, south of Livent/ FMC’s lithium operation, covers 68,000 Ha over a large salt lake over 22km x 15km. Drilling (15 holes) has confirmed brines from surface to 400-800m depth. An initial resource statement is anticipated in the coming weeks. A direct extraction technique is being tested in tandem with conventional methods as part of a PFS. The Olaroz-Cauchari project, with drilling underway, adjoins world class brine projects either in production or development by Orocobre and Ganfeng /Lithium Americas Cauchari project, with high grade lithium (600 mg/L) across the lease boundary.
