Can you give us a brief overview of Banyan Gold and its core strategic vision?
The company is focused on adding value for all its stakeholders by advancing its flagship 100% owned AurMac Gold Project. The current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Project comprises an Indicated Mineral Resource of 2.274Moz of gold (112.5Mt at 0.63g/t) and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 5.453Moz of Au (280.6Mt at 0.60g/t ) (as defined in the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Definition Standards for Mineral Resources & Mineral Reserves incorporated by reference into NI 43 101).
The AurMac Gold Project is in the Mayo Mining District, approximately 40km northeast from the village of Mayo and 356km north of Whitehorse, within the traditional territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun.
The property covers an area of over 303km2 and is central to the Eagle Gold Mine and adjacent to the Keno Hill Silver Mine. The project is accessible year-round, is transected by the main Yukon highway and benefits from a 3-phase powerline, existing power station, and cell phone coverage.
What are the latest updates from your flagship AurMac Project? What milestones have you recently achieved?
In 2025, Banyan updated the AurMac resource and developed a new geological model, converting over 2Moz to indicated.
With the assistance of a revised geological model, Banyan will complete a 40,000m drill program with over 190 holes in 2025. The drill program is designed to extend the high-grade zones at Airstrip and Powerline, convert inferred to indicated, and test new geophysical anomalies.
How has your resource base evolved over the past year, and what are your current estimates?
The resource both increased in ounces by over 10% and also converted over 2M ounces to indicated. The deposit is open in all directions, with drilling confirming the +1g/t Au zones and potentially extending the zones beyond the previously known mineralization.
Drilling in the core of the Powerline zone continues to confirm continuity of refined and high-grade mineralized domains. With mineralized domains open down-dip, the company has the potential to add additional high-grade ounces while converting inferred ounces to indicated. Drilling continues to intersect visible gold, in zones of high-grade mineralization and throughout the Powerline deposit.
What are the next steps in your exploration and development timeline for AurMac and other assets?
Banyan is funded to drill over 50,000m in 2026, with metallurgy and baseline environmental work.
The company is working towards completing a PEA by H2 2026.
How is Banyan Gold positioned in terms of funding and financial strength to support ongoing exploration?
With its recently completed $31.4M strategic investment by Alpayana S.A.C., the company has over $42M cash on hand. This supports a PEA that will include both 2025 and 2026 drilling and fully funds the company through 2027.
Alpayana S.A.C. is a Peruvian underground mining company, operating across multiple units, producing zinc, lead and copper concentrates. It combines an emphasis on responsible/modern mining culture with strategic acquisitions to expand its footprint.
How do you see current gold market dynamics influencing Banyan’s strategy and investor appeal?
AurMac is currently the 5th largest open pit target in North America. With the imminent sale of the Eagle Gold Mine, which includes the stand-alone Raven Deposit (1.1Moz at 1.67g/t) to the north of AurMac, and Hecla operating the high-grade Keno Hill silver mine to the north-east, the company is well positioned for acquirers looking for additional ounces.
Banyan currently sits at a value of $35/oz whereas its regional counterparts, Sitka Gold Corp and Snowline Gold Corp are at $150/oz and $250/oz respectively.
Previous takeover targets at lower gold prices have gone at a minimum of $89/oz (Underworld – gold at $1700) up to $583/oz (Osisko Mining – gold at $2500). With M&A just starting to ramp up with a +$4000 gold price, M&A transactions this fall will set new valuation metrics.
Are there any strategic partnerships or collaborations in place or under consideration to accelerate project development?
The financing by Alpayana S.A.C. was a strategic investment to allow Banyan to focus on advancing the project development. Banyan is uniquely positioned as a first mover to be able to accelerate the project towards development.
What key milestones should investors be watching for over the next 6–12 months?
- A steady news flow with results of drilling from this year’s 40,000m drill program that is expanding and defining the high-grade zones in the Powerline and Airstrip deposits.
- District M&A Activity, including the sale of the Eagle Mine.
- Exploration of Keno style silver mineralization.
- PEA in H2 2026 that will incorporate both 2025 and 2026 drilling.
